The Forwood CCV app helps you verify critical controls before starting high-risk work, ensuring a safer workplace. This guide walks you through downloading, activating, and setting up the app.
Step 1: Download the CCV App
The CCV app is available for both iOS and Android devices.
Open the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
If required, search for Forwood CCV.
Tap Download and install the app.
Step 2: Open the App and Start Activation
After installation, you need to activate the app using a Device Activation Code (DAC).
Open the Forwood CCV app.
The app will prompt you to enter a Device Activation Code (DAC).
Your DAC is available in the Forwood ID Portal.
Check your email for the Forwood ID Portal URL and login details.
Step 3: Retrieve Your DAC Code
Log into the Forwood ID Portal using the details provided in your email.
Navigate to My Profile (top right corner of the main page).
Scroll to the bottom and tap Generate DAC.
Your unique DAC number and QR code will be displayed.
Note: You cannot use the same DAC number for multiple devices. You will have to generate separate QR codes if you wish to install the CCV app onto other devices e.g. a tablet.
Step 4: Enter the DAC Code
Return to the CCV app.
Choose one of the following methods:
Scan QR Code
Enter DAC Manually and then login with username or email address.
The app will begin syncing company data.
Important: Keep your phone awake while syncing.
Step 5: Select Your Work Sites
Once syncing is complete, a list of available sites will appear.
Select the sites where you’ll be verifying controls.
Tap Continue.
Keeping the App Updated
The Forwood CCV app frequently updates to ensure optimal functionality, security, and user experience. You can view the app's current version number at the bottom of the app's settings page.
Automatic or Manual Updates:
You can update the app manually or automatically depending on your device's settings.
For Android devices:
Open Google Play Store, go to Settings, and turn on Auto-update apps to keep your app updated automatically. Otherwise, periodically visit the Forwood CCV app in the Play Store and tap the Update button if available.
For Apple iOS devices:
Go to the App Store and enable App Updates. Otherwise, periodically visit the Forwood CCV app in the App Store and tap the Update button if available.
Company Policy Notifications:
If your organisation administers updates for this app, adhere to any specific internal update policies or IT guidelines.
